Kangana Ranaut and Ekta Kapoor have joined hands for the Upcoming OTT Tv reality show LockUpp. Kangana has shared the trailer for the same. The show will feature a bunch of ‘controversial’ celebrities who are locked up in jail with no amenities.
Lock Upp is touted to be the biggest and most fearless reality show. The show will stream 24x7 live on the two biggest OTT giants ALT Balaji & MX Player simultaneously.
Sixteen "controversial" celebrities are being locked up for 72 days, stripped of all amenities. Throughout their stay in the televised "prison", contestants will have to perform an array of interesting tasks.
What adds to the twist is the power that lies with the audience. Not only do the viewers have 50% of the voting power, but can also directly interact with the contestants, and punish or reward and even play ‘Khabri’ with some of them. The rest of the voting power lies with vitriolic host Kangana Ranaut. The show will also have a celebrity jailor to monitor them..”

Ekta says, “I felt there was a need to take reality shows a notch up. So I found Lock Upp, which was proposed to me by two young boys. With Kangana on board and MX Player as digital partners, along with ALTBalaji, I think it’s going to be a successful venture. Only I would like the FIRs to be directed to ALT and MX Player, and not at me or Kangana!” She further adds about the show, “As many as 16 contestants will battle out for 72 days. In other words, it will be a jail that we all are afraid to end up in! Also, this one is not based on any of the foreign shows; it brings something new."
